Maundy Thursday
Thursday in passion week, or holy week is called Maundy Thursday. The word “maundy” is derived from the Latin mandatum (commandment), referring to John 13:34, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." This is a service of remembering the Last Supper, Jesus' the institution of Communion. The service concludes with Foot washing, and stripping the Altar in preparation of Good Friday.
